Highlights of Project Experience:
Willowbrook Mall – Wayne, NJ
Project manager and lead engineer in charge of design documents and construction management of the electrical infrastructure upgrade to an the existing mall. The inquisity of the project includes the need to maintain a fully operating mall while completely upgrading the existing main electrical service feed to the mall. Project challenges included common utilities, climate/environmental issues, and space limitations. Forward thinking and constant coordination made this project a success.
Bayside Marketplace – Miami, FL
Project manager and lead fire alarm engineer for the design and installation of a new fire alarm system at a busy Miami mall. The property was in immediate need of a full remediation of the fire alarm system. Working closely with local fire marshal’s and personnel Gene was able to meet the challenges of the project along with full compliance from the fire marshal in a extremely accelerated time frame.
The project required challenging well thought out design approaches along with constant coordination between Port Authority, Continental Airlines Construction Management, and the design team.
Lexus of Edison – Edison, NJ
Project manager and lead engineer for the design/construction of a ground up, state of the art upscale dealership. Coordination, project construction meetings, and diligence made this 92,000 square foot dealership a flagship store for the client. Gene met with manufacturers to ensure that equipment would be properly designed and installed early in the project, which enabled smooth construction that met the opening date.
Staten Island Mall – Staten Island, NY
Project manager for emergency electrical equipment replacement due to equipment failure at the mall. Clients know that they can reach Gene any time of the day or night in emergency situation and EDG will mobilize to assist. The challenges which were met and completed on the project specifically related to a cohesive coordination effort between engineer, electrician, and manufacturer to install new 4000A bus duct on the roof from one area of the mall in order to provide normal power to the new gear.
Gene worked closely with the insurance company and client to ensure all aspects of the project and effects of the failure were understood, inspected and identified under the work required.
Stop & Shop Supermarket. – Various locations throughout North East
Lead electrical designer on the conversions and construction of new Stop & Shop Supermarkets. Duties included the implementation of prototypical standards while modifying existing systems to keep construction cost low.
